I know it sounds stupid but I think the 5040 is just a good looking tractor. I know looks have nothing to do with function, but to me the 5040 just looks cool. Makes me want one for no rational reason at all.
(Of course from a marketing standpoint looks is important. Consider dog food, fishing lures, SUVs, etc.)

)</font> Well, I agree. Even better on the lot where you can see the size differences and do snooping around comparisons.
But I always liked the NH blue sloped hoods and curved loader arms too.
I guess I just like curved stuff.
