5055e removal of side dash panel - open station

I am in the process of changing over my brake light switch and need access by removing the RHS dash panel. After removing the two screws on the side of the panel, I am left with a clip? that holds the left and right side panels together in the middle.

It is in a very awkward place (have to lift the hood and reach in to access) to unfasten so I would appreciate some advice before trying. It is pictured below and followed by a pic of the side panel I am referring to. Thanks in advance for any help.
