My 2012 5093E is very difficult to shift OUT of 4 WD..Any ideas?

Best way to shift out of 4wd is to put light pressure on the lever while slightly turning front wheels either left or right and back to straight while moving slowly.
Another way is to stop and reverse direction of travel while putting light pressure on the 4wd lever. All tractors I've owned (green, orange, red) along with jeeps and trucks have worked this way. Give it a try.

if you have a loader lift front end a little it will come out easy, if it has just started doing it might check air pressure in the tires one could be low causing it to bind a little

When mine winds a little tight, I just keep some light pressure on the 4wd lever and back off the forward pedal quickly, comes right out. Or be ready when changing directions is a good time to shift out.

Whis... Good point on the air pressure in the tires. Will follow up on that.

I just lean on it while rolling straight a foot or so and she pops out easy.

I was thinking about automating it with a solenoid or something, but you'd need a spring/shock in the mechanism to account for not ripping the arm off when it's sticky.

Piece of cake! It's all technique..I was stopping to shift in and out..Works MUCH better to lean on the shifter, speed up and then slow down from slow ground speed..Slips right in and out! Thanks..

Late to see this. I also have the same problem with my 2010 5093E. I shift out of 4WD by switching to a low gear, start rolling forward, and pull back on the lever.

I suspect it's common for this tractor..Have you had any other problems? I ask because my hydraulics run hotter on this tractor than my Kubota did and I can hear a rattle from the rear..

Dumb Question #329A.1(b): How do you know if the hydraulics are hot?

My main problem yesterday was that the AC worked, but was overheating the engine while bushhogging a way-too-late first cutting. So at about the hottest point of the day, I switched off the AC, the temp gauge dropped nicely, the tractor ran well for the rest of the day, but the cab became a hotbox. It was about 93 yesterday and dripping humidity in Virginia. We have had the AC compressor replaced two years ago and the engine oil is overdue for replacement. That may be related. The tractor is not in constant use.
