I went with the 54" MMM because it weights less than the 60", 175lbs compared to 300lbs. I figure that the lighter deck would be easier to handle for removing and attaching the MMM on a regular basis. For residential mowing, the 54" should last me forever.

I would guess that you are correct about the handling, and yes the 300 lbs is quite a load.

I called my local JD dearler today and got a quote on a 60in. mid deck mower for $1950.00 and they will set it up for me. Plus no tax as it is still consider farm use. I think this is a good deal. Now how do I hide this one from the BOSS. /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif
