I'm sure it's a fine car, but I'd feel like I'd turned in my man card driving one.
I know what you mean. I did enough man stuff in my life to have an irrevocable card ;) . My other car is a Ford Cobra with open pipes.

It’s irrevocable, but we do count the number of holes punched in it before deciding on your wake.

j/k… my wife used to have a little red Audi A3 2.0T, and I loved driving that thing. Not much different than a sporty VW.

Lol. My wife's midlife crisis vehicle was an A6. It really did well on those high speed limit roads we have here. Unfortunately, it also drank Premium, so cost a lot to drive.

I re did a 1988 Audi 5000cs turbo about 20 years ago. Ex wife was soooo jealous of that car. I worked midnights and woke up and the car was gone she took it. Ran it over a curb and drove it all over the city with no oil. Now shes married to a useless tool and I'm still making cool vehicles, trucks now though.

I think I will wait until the last day in December to get a new Jetta
Y'all can say anyting y'all like but I enjoyed my rabbit and will enjoy
a new jetta sure you don't get all the buttons but who needs them??? I feel like the price of fuel is really going to go; up so
need something that will get some mile age. 40+ sure beats 24 mpg. I for one was never into hot rods just wanted a confortable
car with good mpg. Hot rods cost too m;uch money and took up
too much of your time and cost a lot of money altho for some guys that's great but no;t for me! The police really like hot rods and me
driving a family type car police didn't bother me. Did some crazy
things back in the 50's like drag racing down mail street 3am 144
mph just young and stupid! Population was under 24k at that time
not over 116k yea the good ole days

Your calculator is broken…
Every vehicle, every single vehicle has its range affected by velocity, both slow and fast speeds.
You sound like someone that told me once that the cost of gas didn’t really affect them. “I always put $50 worth in my car” 😬

With these guys running those rigs over 75mph I'm beginning to understand why I'm seeing all those tire pieces all over the roads.

My BIL had GPS tracking on his tanker rig and his safety bonus was factored into whether he was detected at over 65mph.

It seems like the government is trying to force ICE vehicles into oblivion by creating unachievable targets.

I might be O.K. with a hybrid, but I couldn't see going pure EV.
