6’ or 7’ box blade on TYM 4820H?

Slowpoke Slim. I was helping the neighbor last summer. At that time I have my turf tires on because the machine is also my lawn mower. It has a 72" /7 Iron JD mower deck. I switch to my loaded bar tires with wheel weights in the late fall after the mowing season. I didn't really have a problem scraping off the sod using the 4 wheel drive. As a note the local JD dealer said he sold very few / like 3 or 4/ of the 4X20 series tractors with the mid mount mower. I would not have had it any other way. It works for me.

I feel your pain. By June or so, I'll be retired to my property and can take delivery whenever. Right now, I have to coordinate everything and it gets tricky.

The Taylor Pittsburgh is dealer based. Did a quick search for Central Indiana, there were 5 dealers within 60 miles of 46123 (just picked a zip near center). Maybe you could find one. Taylorpittsburgh.com. RK lists a 72" at $1400. We don't have RK around here.

I really like the attention to detail at EA. The max HP on the $1443 model is just a bit lower than the tractor. The next step up is $1743.

Also, the Ironcraft 3206 can be had for less than the KK BBG72. (Under $1200) To be fair, that price is in Iowa, but it is $400 more in Indiana. I think you have room to negotiate.

Another I am considering is Modern Ag. They are out of Beaumont, TX. Galvanized rather than painted. They are heavier than most similar models. The "Contractor" is in specs for the tractor, but will need to contact a dealer for pricing. The next step down I see for $1250.

I will look into the Taylor, it seems well built. Ironcraft looks pretty light. From the hitch setup to the lack of gussets. Thanks for the heads up on the Taylor though! I spend a lot of time in NYC, so a pop up delivery at the homestead isn’t going to work for delivery.

I'm sorry. I've been in NYC for work a dozen times or so. There are some good points, but I'll not be back unless one of my kids wants a tour.
