Somewhere along the way in aging only 35 years, I somehow became an old man and drive as such. I'll probably have the slowest 340HP on the road. :D

Dang, I got a decade on you and I still loves me horsepower. :laughing:

BTW: Great looking truck!! And what a drivetrain. Don't let the fordies scare you about oil consumption, etc. They're just jealous of your SIZE, your 11.5" rear and your Ally. 500 cubes of ford spankin bowtie. :D

To answer the question at post #16: I change oil every 5000 miles because it it easy to remember. The oil monitor ususally says about 50% at that point. Usually I have to add a quart between oil changes, sometimes not. I think it depends on how much towing I do.

Also, in 2004, to get an Allison, you had to get the 8.1 or the diesel. I looked at the diesel and the 8.1. The 8.1 performance was pretty close (according to the engineering charts) to the diesel, but the diesel was another $4000 so I chose the 8.1.
