It is not cheap...

I have small tires and spent around $350 for both fronts about 10 years ago.

So not much cheaper there either. Price here seems reasonable, taking in to account that the material iss from the US and then here we have 20% VAT (sales tax). If I were in easy driving distance to the place, there would be a chance that a cash purchase not needing a receipt would give an advantageous price.

I'm tempted to right now use professional grade polyurethane adhesive/caulk that I have until I track someone down who knows what "booting" tires means. It seems pretty tough. There is also the miracle "Mammoth Glue" MS adhesive/caulk that sticks to everything and remains flexible.

I am fortunate in that 60 miles away is an industrial/ag tire facility that specializes in these types of tires and also does it's own recapping and repair...

Not sure what I would do if I had not found this gem.

They handle everything up to large earth movers...

I found that ALL of the local commercial shops send out this work and this is where they send it and then mark up the work.

It seems that way here as well-- there is just one company in Slovakia doing this tire filling-- so also means the only options is the Carpenter Rely brand of filling, not that I know of anything wrong with it, so basically send tires via courier to west Slovakia and in a week or so they'll send them back. Everyone else just sends the tires to them.

The week turnaround is typical...

I dropped mine off early one morning and picked them up late the next day...

It is important the foam be allowed to cure and being undisturbed prevents flat spots...

Foam also adds weight...

It's been about 7 years since I was last in Slovakia...

Oh, I see your location now-- so you are sometimes in Austria, albeit on the other side from Slovakia. I live completely on the other side of Slovakia from Austria-- but I have been even this year in Austria, albeit just to catch a plane from Vienna. If you're ever making a road trip to see Ukraine, and you take E50, our village is the last turn off before crossing the border.

The front tire (Golden Rabbit brand from China) on my tractor got a flat as I drove it through a field where I'd just mowed some brush. At the time, I only saw some thorns stuck in the tire, which I thought was the cause. Yesterday, the tire shop repaired the tube, and now rolling the tire back to the tractor, I noticed a huge hole that I guess wasn't visible when it was deflated. I have a feeling that such a hole is going to lead to a defect sooner or later, and probably sooner, and probably can't be repaired.

So I wonder, are there 7.00-16 tires that are tubeless? The wheel is solid, so I think it could work with tubeless tires? And holes in tubeless tires can be plugged just like car tires, right? Or is it possible to also plug holes in tube-tires?

The tire says "6 ply rated" and "nylon". Maybe there is a thicker, tougher tire than these?

I really doubt you will get a tractor tire in that wheel size of more than 6 ply. On TT vs Tubeless, the wheel rim really needs to be designed to seal a tubeless. Most TT wheels will not provide adequate tire to rim surface area to make a tubeless work....even on a new wheel, nice and shiny.

If you want more, suggest you look for a 16.5 tubeless wheel in 6 lug like would be used on a セ-1 ton pickup truck where you can get 10 ply tires to fit. Course they wouldn't be 3 rib and in turns you could have some slipping you don't get with Farm Rib tires.

Have you seen these tires?

Agricultural tyres / Nokian Heavy Tyres

New Nokian Concept Tyre for Agricultural Tractors - YouTube

The winter time videos demonstrating various traction ability are amazing.

Looks like they are making inroads into the USA.

All the best....

If it has been mentioned I missed seeing it. Your tractor is 2 wheel drive, not 4 wheel right? If 4 wheel you need to stay with same size tires but believe your tractor must be two wheel drive.

A 235/85-16 is the same as a 7.50-16 and are available in 8 and 10 ply ratings. As retreads they can be found with a tri-rib,
also used aircraft tires of 15-24 ply have been used on wagons and front tractor tires quite successfully.

It is a 4wd actually.

For now my strategy is just going to be avoid going to areas where I've recently cut a bunch of brush.

I would not be surprised at Nokian producing quality tires. My wife's car had one set of Nokian all season tires for at least 7 years-- only a summer of slowly progressing road construction on the road from us to the city finally did them in.
