I should have clarified the the welded was engine driven and what this welded was talking about was that it is easier for the machine to maintain consistent average placing tba voltage asks tor on the higher setting and then reducing the fine control would lessen engine load. I found that it did help on my older Miller boat 225nt but doesn't seem to matter on my newer 250.
