Hey vics, they do have one in-stock but its a demo. I will order one and they told me 3-4 weeks. Im getting the JD green 620i with a bed liner and one of those slip over covers, also the front reciever. My bid came to $9689 including 8% tax. Mike

The dealer I spoke with was saying 2-3 weeks for a special order, which I thought sounded suprisingly quick. 3-4 is probably more accurate.

Yeah it's the open clutch on the diesel. If you look from the back you can most likely see a belt on the drivers side. That's what we are referring to.

I think it was 2-3 weeks for my HPX last spring so it might not be that far off.

I get about 8 to 9 engine hours per fill with my gas XUV. Mileage I couldn't tell you.

you mean that you are empty after 8or 9 hours?? if so i would have it checked out . i ran my gator for 6 almost 7 hours straight pulling a loaded double axle 16' trailer and i only used a 1/2 of a tank of gas. you must be running wide open the whole time or the injectors are not set right.. i could be wrong but to me the fuel injected xuv should get better gas mileage than the carbed hpx.

If I recall correctly the XUV actually gets half the milage of a HPX. At least the Diesel does so it doesn't sound to far fetched that it would get 8-9 hours on a tank. Plus our gauges seem to hang at full for awhile so when you're at half it's not going to last as long on the second half.

so the hpx gets better gas mileage than the xuv???

I just went to the Deere web site.

The HPX gas is listed as .6 gallon per hour with half load and average speed. The XUV 620i gas is listed as .7. A bit more. The diesel 820D XUV is listed as .5. They don't appear to have a HPX diesel listing anymore.

I haven't ran out of gas at 8 or 9 hours, but I am filling it up when the guage says 1/4 tank or less. Someone else stated the guage isn't linear...that is very true. Mine will stay at full for about five hours, and then you look down it is around a quarter tank! Why Deere doesn't put a digital fuel guage on is beyond me.

As for usage...I don't know that I have ran it wide open yet!! I pull an 80 bushel manure spreader with it everyday for about 15 minutes in Low gear. Also, I have been doing a lot of fenceline spraying and I typically just creep along at about 5 mph while spraying.

By Deere's calculations, my xuv under normal usage should run out of gas after 7.6 hours. (5.3 gal tank / .7gal/hr) An HPX would run an extra 1.2 hours per tank at average use.

I agree with you, it seems that an injected model would be more efficient. With gas prices, maybe I should have sacrificed the smooth ride and gone with fuel economy model!!!:)

Well I'm a bit off anyway. lol.

Be thankful for having a gas gauge like it is. The old 6x4s had one under the seat and at first I didn't know I even had it! But I soon found it poking around my new machine.
