Can't see the video but it's good to hear about old iron still earning it's keep. (y)

I've had to park my 1956 JD 420C until I can get around to some maintenance. I've been using it for the past 10-12 years to maintain my dirt driveway. I sure miss it but I parked it so I can still use the boom to unload my fuel barrels and raise the brush hog for maintenance. It was set up as a pipe layer with a small dozer blade and cable boom.

After I get new steering clutches and do some work on the under carriage, I'll for sure get her a new dress. I think I'll build a limb riser and safety cage too. She'll be good for more dancing after that.
Sorry not available to see the video.
Here are some pictures.
Actually, I paid a small amount 15 year ago with some problems.
Both side steering clutch is not working well, and the right-side brake is not working properly due to the oil leaking caused by a soak brake pad.
So, it only works left side steering, which is not really convenient.
Also, water gets in the transmission when raining.
Therefore, I have to drain the transmission oil after each use.
The problems above to repair are beyond my ability.
Of course, I replaced the left side idler, restored the gasoline starting mechanism, and repaired the hydraulic pump yoke etc..
Nonetheless, it still pushes the dirt so well and has been used as is for 15 years.
And has cleared my 80 acres of heavy brush and wood property completely.
Now, looking to the person who needs to clear his land like I did.
If I can't find any person then I will keep it forever.
Thank you for your input.

That has the hydraulic pump the drives off the front of the crank and sticks out in front of the radiator guard behind a perforated metal blister, right?

I rifled through some old pictures and found a few pictures of Dad's old TD-14 with a Bucyrus-Erie blade. The last one was him pulling an old pull scraper when they were building a local golf course back in the '50s.
Check out the custom brush cage he made after getting pinned on it by a tree branch when clearing a woods a while before.

jkk04 - Don't know about that termination date. You look pretty spry to me. Keep going until they have to carry you out. Your heirs will have to deal with the property, but they'll be inheriting it's worth so let them deal with it.
I am so sad that my dozer is sold today.
But I am happy because a very young farmer bought it and will take care of it very well.
The reason to sell my lovely big toy was because I am losing strong confidence and strength by the age.
Also, I am afraid to repair the dozer again once it is broken due to the age.
Additionally, I really don't want my toy to go to a graveyard for scrap metal.
Hope to help him from you guys here whenever he needs to repair
Thank you so much to all members here.

Here is the picture of him with a dozer that I have permission to upload.

Very priceless picture for you.
Your dad's dozer looks like 1940th TD14 I think.
Thanks

It also looks like a beautiful piece of property.

LouNY - I'd heard about these gas/diesel engines, but never knew how it worked. I'd heard it was a separate gas engine that became the "starter" for the diesel. Your explanation makes more sense.
Worked for our state hwy dep't 'shed' in summer ('67) ; had a big Cat dozer D 5? Had to help the crew leader who operated it prep it; it had a gas engine to turn it over--amazed me, never had heard or seen such a 'creature'....he kindly explained/demonstrated it . Great real world learning experience for a 18 year old...summer of '69 another shed had a International - Drott with a clamshell bucket. No starter motor by then....
