Wondering does anybody have a Branson 65 hp
are they going to be a tough tractor or just a
high hp compact. Been checking around and
looking at Kioti but, dealers (not Kioti dealers)
are saying that Kioti has alot of transmission problems
if used beyond just a weekend warrior. Any help
would be nice I like both tractors just dont want to buy,
then have a major breakdown when warranty is out.

I can only tell you I have a 4720 and work it hard! I have been very satisfied. I don't think you will be disapointed.

I have the Branson 6530, it's a bad a$$ tractor in my eyes. Haven't had any issues with it at all.

Colby, I am a Branson and a Kioti dealer and what you are saying about the Kioti having trans problems I have not heard that yet and I have not had any of my customers complain about trans problems and 2 of the 65 Kiotis are used every day for logging.
I do have a Branson 65 instock and it is a heavy built tractor as any Korean tractor is heavy built.
I think you will have to be the judge which one is for you, I know I would have a hard time choosing between the 2 brands. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Colby: I'm no tractor expert by any means and I've been looking real hard in the 30 to 40hp range. Driving by one of the local dealers Saturday, I spotted a huge red tractor with the Branson logo on it so I had to stop & check it out. Man, that's one sweet looking tractor, especially with the cab on it. Everything looked like it was built for some serious rugged work. If you have not seen one up close & personal, I highly recommend you do before you purchasing something else. If I were looking for something in that HP category, I think it would make me very happy. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Good luck in your quest. If you get one, be sure to post photos for everyone to admire.

Clydes said it best.....Bad A$$ Tractor!

To add to Wallace's post we are also a Branson & Kioti dealer.
We added the Branson line rather than have to compete against them.

Nice tractors

Wallace, just wondering what kind of logging you are talking about for the Kioti, I have been selling logging and ag equipment for over forty years, the average life
of a $200,000.00 skidder is about 5 years. I have several
customers using tractors to skid and load with tractors as small as 30 hp but I don't consider that logging. The customers using tractors are always in for parts because of abuse, then wanting warranty done because a limb went through the grill and radiator or ect.

There are more and more land owners that will only allow low impact logging. For that compact and utility tractors are a real alternative to skidders.

Chipperman,
I agree with you that is the reason for some of my customers
using tractors, but a tractor of any brand won't hold up to
the real logger in todays world.

I have a dealer in Colville Wa., north of Spokane, that sells compact tractors for logging, he sells Century/Branson/Kukje, Has attachments made locally, some he buys and INSISTS on only one brand of loader, the Humpolec Trac-Lift, or as it is refured to when mounted to a Century, C50. The most important reason is the loader subframe that goes from the very front bolster all the way to the year axle. It actually improves the tractor integrity and rigidity for extreme use like logging.

I agree Chipperman. I know low impact loggers who use utility tractors, grapples and 3 point 4 and 5 ton log winches. They do truck loads and take them to the mills locally.

In a lot of cases here owners want this as the large "real" logging with skidders etc. do so much damage and leave major slash messes that the guys doing the low impact are usually more careful to avoid.

Chuck can you please describe how your dealer mounts the skid plates beneath his tractors. Are they attached to the loader frame? Willie Jones

I do not know, but if you would like I can give you his name and number, he is in North/Eastern Washington. Give me your email address and I will send you his. He can also tell you about some of the products they make locally, I saw some of them last time I was there and they were well built attachments
