718D Grasshopper Overheating

I have a 718D grasshopper. It has been overheating on me. It started overheating last season and I ended up replacing the radiator but was mowing with it again the first time this season and is still over heating. It is okay at idle but when you are mowing with it the mower will overheat. Then if you turn the the deck off it will cool down and you can go back to mowing until it overheats again. Any information on what could be causing the problem would be greatly appreciated.

Double check your fluid level in the radiator. Clean out the radiator by gently spraying water through it. It will appear clean to a glance but if you look close the fins sometimes are clogged deeper in than you can see. Wash it out when it's cool and see if muddy water comes out. Check your fan belt. I guess it could be your pump but I've never had trouble with one. Is it a Kubota diesel engine?

does it have a thermostat? what engine is it Kubota ? i have a kubota D721 in my woods mower identical to a 712D

the engine is a Kubota Diesel it is a D600, it does have a thermostat but i have not tried to replace it yet.

The radiator is brand new. Ive literally only mowed with it for 20 minutes and when it overheated and i put it away. I have checked all the fluids in it and everything is normal and where it should be. i flushed the engine when i replaced the radiator and refilled it with new coolant. Its is a Kubota Diesel D600

I'm going with the thermostat being bad. If you replaced the radiator I sure you cleaned the screen behind the seat.

yeah the screen is spotless. i just ordered a new thermostat at the grasshopper dealer, it should be here tomorrow for me to install and test the mower.

Well I put the new thermostat in the grasshopper and it seemed to be doing ok until it blew the lower radiator hose. So now I'm waiting on a new hose and I'm going to try it again.

The new hose finally came in and I out it on this afternoon and tried the mower again and it still overheated. Does anyone have anything else to try?
