72 inch Rachet Rake on sale at TSC $199

Just put on and used a 68" ratchet rake to clear yaupons and big piles of fallen brush on my 10 acres.

This thing rocks! I am amazed how well it works. It is a must-have tool if you're doing any kind of clearing.

I paid full price of $329 and would gladly do so again.

It takes those yaupons out like nobody's business.

Is it a pretty snug fit with your bucket? I bought the 72" and have cut three extra tabs for the bottom links. I'm not sure why they don't come with extra tabs on the bottom. I plan to weld those on the next time I'm up. I'm not cutting or moving the existing tabs that are there... just added the bottom tabs to see if I can tighten it down enough.

It's a snug fit but in a good way. I don't know how to weld yet so went with the one made for the bucket. It works great!

Why 3 teg? Only 2 upper center eyelets. Am I missing something?:confused2: Just for added torsional support against your bucket.

There is no advantage for two additional brackets on the bottom. The two top center brackets were added for equal support along the front edge of the bucket, and not for additional areas for hooking additional straps. That is why there are no bracket on the bottom. RR used the bracket with holes in them because that is how the bracket were mass produced.

Pretty much just added torsional support against my bucket... since the RR is wider then my bucket, I can't use the outside support.

Since I would only have one bottom tab - other being outside of my bucket width... I thought I needed *some* support underneath... since I cut one of them, the other two were not much more work. I'm only trying to make it stronger...

I am with you on the 72" oversize. I put mine on a 48" and plan to put two upper corners on in spring and move the lowers in a couple teeth. Cost was worth the modifications. I had no problems with road grading angle strapped but roots / rocks could torque center of bucket. Thanks for reply, just curious if any one else was on same page as me.

Got my Ratchet Rake yesterday. Tractor Supply actually came through. My local store in Covington Louisiana did not know what the were. I took it upon myself to call other stores until I found one. Then this store agreed to get it for me when a truck would be in the area so as not to charge me for shipping it. So kudos to the Covington and Zachary stores for working together to help a customer. Even though the "sale" price on the ticket showed $299 for the 72 inch rake, their register corrected it to the $199 price. As stated in an earlier post, now this store knows what they are too!
Hopefully will be able to use soon. Thanks to everybody for the posts on this item. Makes the decision process easier.
The Rake comes with the box of parts....this is what's in the box.
