72 inch Rachet Rake on sale at TSC $199

I would buy the larger one... save some money and make two shorter ones. A 48" and a 24" mini one I didn't measure where the two inner tabs are at but would think you would only need to add an extra bottom tab...

Hoping to head up to the farm this wk/ed to play with the RR.

On the 72" rake the top tabs are 20" on center, starting 6" from the end. Only outer two have lower hookups.

Hmm, what are the extra inner hooks there for? I see the 52 inch that fits my bucket has 2 inner hooks and the 68" has one inner hook in the middle.

Some have said it's for extra support for the bucket lip. I'm wondering if it's for hooking up different bucket styles/widths...

Turbys_1700 said he only has a 54" bucket and was able to attach it... so I'll play with mine first to see how well it attaches... I'll add the extra tabs since I already made them. Need more welding practice, anyway.

I suppose, but that doesn't explain why they would have the eye to connect the hook on the ratchet.

Ask the TSC store to do a search by computer. They should be able to tell you the closest stores that have one in stock.

Thanks Zebra, I did ask them to ck NH and southern New England and she said they were out of stock since last summer.

As posted earlier, the brackets are mass-produced with the holes drilled. So they use them in the middle as well, only for support and no hook-up purposes.

For anyone still looking for a Ratchet Rake in the southern Maryland area, the TSC in White Plains (Waldorf) has one of all three sizes. They are outside on a pallet with the rest of the implements that they sell.
