Cubhater, I can truly see where you are coming from. Today I checked out my 7275 compared to my friends Ford equivalent. His tractor has more than double the bolts holding on the front frame section to the motor. It sure looks to me like Mitsubishi screwed up big time on this setup. Sure, those 8 bolts will work fine for holding it all together as long as you don't put a loader on it. Someone's excuse of overloading the loader is a load of crap. Especially since loaders are set to kick off at a certain weight limit. Also his bull about bolts loosening up becaue it is a deisel is a load of crap. My neighbor's been running deisel farm equipment for more years than I can think about. I asked him today about bolts loosening up on his equipment. He said he never has any problem with his JD's or the Ford's he use to have. As for a warranty on that machine? That would be like pulling teeth. Now for a real kicker. I sent a letter to Cub Cadet about the frame kit. Here is the reply I got ( see below). I then replied again to see if they would send me a kit since my tractor was made in 1995. Now we wait to see what happens. I agree with you 100% here about this being a weak point in the tractor. If I don't get any satisfaction from Cub I will either purchase this kit or build my own middle frame unit to tie this tractor together.
Thank you for contacting Cub Cadet. We appreciate the time you have taken to request assistance with your Cub.
This kit was implemented to strengthen the loader mounting frame.
Warranties were allowed on units sold before 6-30-98, after this date all dealers had knowledge of the change and kits were installed with the sale of a loader.
These kits are still available if one is needed or desired.
At Cub Cadet, we consider the satisfaction of our customers as one of our most important objectives. If you have any other inquiries or concerns, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to address them.
