Cubtech
In the past five years how many engine blocks have broken and you have refused to fix, or were they all operator error or abuse? I know of a couple within 30 miles of my house. I know of one approx 4 months ago and you didn't warranty it or provide the brackets.

If cubtech actually answers that with a real and truthfull number I'll just pass out on the spot. You know. A number. Like "402" or "958"or"10672". You know its a big number.

First, let me start with my name change. Ive changed it because Im quitting the board. It's a waste of time. It's like talking to the wall with you people. It's like Im talking to my three year old.

Cubhater, our records indicate that cub sent out very few. The kits are no charge so therefor shipping records are not kept. From what I could find.

How many did we refuse to fix??? That all depends on the shape of the tractor, the usage, warranty history. I dont have a record of refusals.

But the brackets were not the problem on your tractor. I dont understand why you keep bringing this up. It's like beating a dead horse. You had engine problems.

I offered to help in the repair of your tractor. But the problems you had were not the tractors fault.

Didn't I say " If you could get the dealer to tell me that the problems you had were factory defects I would help with the bill?" I offered assistance to you.

The dealer didn't tell me that anything was a factory defect.
The TM didnt tell me that anything was a factory defect.

You can't just contact a manufacturer and demand warranty service.

The brackets didn't have anything to do with your engine problem.

Im sorry....I did everything I could with the information that I had. Cub doesnt have a lifetime warranty.

So you and your buddies on here can go find someone else to mess with. Im not going to sit here and play these little games with you or your buddies.

If you have any further issues you will need to discuss them with your Cub Cadet dealer.

Good luck

I have to say that Cub Tech1 has made his point. But I also have to say that these kits are not free. Cub Cadet told me that if I wanted them that I would have to pay for them. And that is exactly what I did. If this will help to keep my tractor a little bit tighter than so be it.

Thanks for the answer. As far as quitting the board, I think that is a mistake. You took some heat on this thread, but your answers might have saved someone a engine. And there are other owners out there you can probably answer their questions because you know some of the answers before the dealer. Or you can expedite parts or find trends that are ongoing

Let me echo what the Old Gunny said. I felt throughout some of the exchanges on this post that comments on both sides of the aisle were a little to caustic. We are obviously a passionate bunch when it comes to dealing with our tractors. I think you were very short at times on comments back to us but there was also some remarks that were thrown at you as well. I personally think you could add a great deal to this board because of your knowledge of the Cub organization and what is going on within it. I realize you probably couldn’t share some of those issues but we for the most part own only one tractor and that is all we deal with, you on the other hand see what happens across the fleet. You see the fleet at 20,000 feet whereas we are down in the trenches dealing with things like loose bolts, broken castings, or filters that cost 4 times what they should. You certainly can’t fix everything, nor should we expect you to, but you have been able to help out a few of us and for that we are grateful. I think you should reconsider your decision because you definitely can bring some very good info and assistance to this board. My two cents.

I echo that Cubtech has an important role in the Cub threads if he is not chased off by those with the negative experiences....
This thread covered as much regarding the problem as possible, then it turned ugly with no more benefit to the whole group, just those with anger....

I say the thread get closed for good and lets move on to other subjects of interest.
