sounds good. careful with that new machine and good luck with it. spacers prolly work. Consider welding the castor wheels out of the way just good enough for clearance if need be. that's what I would do if I had to make it work

BigMike50, Well the 3520 I have had since 2008, so it is not new, but when I get the 72D AutoConnect, now that will be new! I think I am gonna go with moving the anti-scalp wheel on the rear right over a few inches and that should take care of the clearance for the Turf Specials.

Plus, I am not as experienced as you with regards to working on dozers and equipment where sometimes you get placed in potentially precarious positions - yep I am definitely chicken LOL!. I do not want to be the first one to post a pic of an overturned 3x2x series :D

You know, now that I think about it, the 4310, I used to have ended up with 66" wide plus stance and that unit ran like a garden tractor as far as stability and lower Cg, over all my difficult spots. When I had it, I did not need another smaller tractor for the precision spots and now scary slopes!

I tried to edit all that out because I thought it wasn't necessary after the . didn't get to it in time. anyhow, I thought it was a new tractor to you sorry about that. also, no one wants to see one get turned over so you have to do whats comfortable. So all in all, as it looks, it should be fairly easy to grind the welds off the wheels if you have to and move them just enough to clear those tires. Take some pictures if you do it because it should help somebody else out someday

BigMike50, no worries, that is the plan, and yep I plan too post pics so that everyone can see how it came out. I am hoping to make the change look as factory as I can get it. Probably gonna cost me ~$200 to get it done (removal and welding - I sold my welder :C), as I am probably gonna get it done at my local dealer. From the pics, I am guessing I need to move the wheel over as close to the deflector as possible without interfering with it.

Ok, sorry it took so long to remember to get back to this thread. The deck ended up not requiring any mods. All I had to do is change the front tires over to the narrow setting and every tire clears. Here are the pics

Mowing impressions, sofar the deck cuts very well, but it is currently mounted too low for the cutting I like to do with a mower deck. So I will need to figure out how to raise it up higher. anyone have any suggestions?

As I understand, because the front axle pivots in the middle - setting the front wheels to wide doesn't really accomplish anything worthwhile, related to increased stability anyway.

Yep that is the truth. I switched back form Wide to Narrow and the stability seems to have not changed. But I gotta tell you for mowing the turning radius has dropped significantly and the units turns a lot sharper than before.

Taller tires? I know the cut height ranges from 1 1/2"-5" depending on tire height. With my R3s and full transport position I can manage 4". Trouble is, directions say to cut at 1" less than transport position(I cut at 3 1/2" with out any trouble.)

How tall are your R3 specials?

Only other way I see is notching out the lift arms :(

The rears are 41". With the non-autoconnect 72" deck, I was able cut at almost 4" high with no issues, but with this deck at full transport height I can get 2". I gotta check out my configuration to see if it is actually going up as high as it can. I also need to check my fluid levels, not sure if they were checked at the dealer as I had them all focused on making it work on the tractor with those wheels?

The front of the deck seems to be a bit low too, so I need to look a that. Seems to me that this should not be an issue with the auto-connect deck.
