brake cross shaft leak, looks loke brake side, few questions
Buy seals and? Bushings? Or wait to see what all needs after take out?
Seems all good but leak on right side.
To Top off oil before repair, it looks like a thin light brown oil, not sure what is in it, will it hurt to mix oil types? looking for 134d
Inspection hole gasket? Or do i even need to remove? Seems it would help
I sat behind a desk last 20 yrs so trying to get back into things i did when younger

Thxs in Advance

Seals should be adequate, but get down and try to wiggle the shaft on either side.
Adding oil is mot a problem, but dobyou know what the thin, light brown oil is in it?
No teason to remove the inspection plate.

I personally would wait until I got it apart to see what it needed. It could simply need a new seal but most of the time a seal starts leaking for a reason.

Top the oil off with 134D, the light brown color of your oil could be because it is old or just happens to be the color used by the manufacturer of the oil in it. Do a full change when you repair the leak using 134D which is the correct oil.

Yes, the seal is leaking for a reason. The most likely reason is that it's fifty years old. Once you get off into the seal replacement, you will have a better idea of how much fun replacing the bushings can be. I've done the seals a few times, but have never changed the bushings. I doubt I would attempt to unless the tractor was split. Getting the old ones out without access from inside the case doesn't sound like fun.

Mix/ top off with something else? got the fo21 book on way so will top off until can get it apart.
Yep always best see whats needed after its apart, but was not sure if there are like best practice to do/replace while out type things
