7500 vs 4100

Mike, I compared the two models and bought a 4100. But I would agree that the lifting capacity is not much of an issue. I know that I seldom tax the full capacity of either my loader or 3ph. But I would recommend the 4100 for one reason -it has 3ph position control and the B-7500 doesn't. I can't imagine doing any meaningful work with a rear-mounted implement without having position control. Why Kubota fails to include such a common and simple feature on what is otherwise a very fine tractor is beyond my understanding. On another note, I have been very pleased with the quality and performance of my 4100.

Some of this is new to me. Is Position Control important? I plan to buy a post hole digger...will I regret not having PC when using this implement...????

Well that depends, do you want to dig the hole all the way
down until you decide to stop and pull it up or do you want
to set a depth on the 3pt position control and let it stop
when it gets there? Keep in mind neither has down force
on the 3pt.

Instead of the UP or DOWN choices on the control where you
return to netural to stop it in the middle of full up or
full down, position control lets you move anywhere in the
middle and that is where it will stop (or position itself).

The 7500 narrow model has position control so it's too bad
they couldn't offer it as an option on the others.

heck mike! anyone WITH any tractor at one time or another wishes they had more lift. but u get what u need for MOST of your jobs, other wise we would all be sitting here with a monster machine. i have pc on my 2400, it is useful at times but depending on your needs it may not be essential.
