Hey all i found a 60" MMM for a 755. I am not exactly sure if the mower comes with everything i need or if my tractor has everything i need. I have attached the link so you can see if its all there and what do i need to ensure i have on my tractor to make this work? I think its all there but im not sure where the rear draft arms attach to, can i see 2 areas where they might attach but they are tucked up high so i cant see how the mower will lower and i sounds like i need a optional lift cylinder kit? what does this look like i know the previous owner had a mower deck attached but i have no idea if all the parts are still on the machine?

please help before i loose this sale. (im assuming its a good price?)

looks complete, I just sold my 755 so I know the gig. Check the drive shaft for play in it as well as the gear box end where it attaches, I had a tough time with mine I had to thread and drill to put extra set screws in it. My newer 955 72" deck has a split coupler that you can continully crank tighter and tighter. The 60" 755 deck I had just had a woodruff key style and spring pin. I added two set screws as well.

where were you adding the set screws?

Yes, drilled collar, and ground a "flat" for the screw to rest in, you can't drill the hardened shaft. Only collar.

ok so is the only way to raise and lower the deck with the +/- screw on the deck? or is it hydraulic also?

Both with the three point assist, then adjustable with +/- hicky on floor board and also the hangers at the rear of deck. Then adjust final height by adjustable wheels contacting ground.

The +/- hoo hicky on the floor board is only a stop to adjust mowing height. Do not try to raise or lower the deck with it. Raise the deck, adjust the stop, lower the deck. Repeat until you get the mowing height where you want it.

ok thanks.

I am still not understanding where i attach the 3 pt assist, is this operated via the rockshaft lever? So when i lower my rockshaft lever this also lower the mower deck? or do i need to adjust hydraulics? the operates manual is quite vague unfortunately.

Dude, just go get the deck if you need one. It will become plainly apparent when you install. There are hangers and some linkage under the unit to attach the back of the deck to, this connects to three point linkage. If you dont have this (likely you do), then at least you have hte deck and can make the misc. you need.

well i just dont want to spend $600.00 on a paper weight, i also like to know what i am buying and how it all works then bring it home and find out im missing linkages and find out the linkages are no longer made or my tractor needs additional hydraulic outputs for the optional lift cylinder kit that someone mentioned in a search i did.

If this is the case id rather buy a 3pth mower that is ready to go then have to purchase a mower deck then linkages then hydraulics etc.

1. Does the deck offer include the bracket required to mount it to the front of the tractor? I did not see it in the pictures.
2. The attachment here shows how the rear lift links are attached. One link is adjustable for leveling side to side.
3. Without the optional hydraulic lift cylinder, the rear links will move with the three point. If you have the hydraulic lift option, they will move with left-right movement of the tractor's joystick.

1. you are correct it does not come with that bracket shown on page 4 of your attachement (A) however i believe that bracket is on my tractor
2. great, it appears the attach via a lynch pin to the rear arms which i see on my tractor and i saw them moving up and down with the -/+ do hikky on the deck.
3. So if i do NOT have the optional hydraulic lift cylinder the rear links will move with the rockshaft lever which will also move my 3pth arms so i will have to remove my tiller. IF i do have the optional lift cylinder it will lower with the loader joystick, do i have to disconnect anything on my loader or will the curling bucket just move at the same time as the mower?

Thanks JD.

No hydraulic cylinder:
Deck will move with three point, so implements on there must be removed.

With hydraulic cylinder:
Three point hitch is unaffected and implements can remain on there. For using the loader while the deck is attached, first use the joystick to raise the deck to full height. Then turn knob on floor deck full clockwise. This knob only sets a mechanical limit to how low the deck can go. The knob can only be used for this function and cannot raise or lower the deck by itself. Attempting to use it for that while the deck is attached can only damage things. After the deck is locked to its highest setting, the tractor can be shut down and hydraulic pressure relieved so the loader can be installed. When the loader is later removed, the joystick must be used to again raise the deck off the limit set by the knob, and then the knob can be used to return to the desired setting before again lowering the deck with the joystick onto that new setting.

To test if you have the hydraulic cylinder, move the joystick momentarily to the right. This should lower the arms. Without the weight of the deck, you will probably have to pull down on the arms by hand. They can then be raised again by moving the joystick to the left.

Your picture shows what looks to be two adjustable links. That may be fine, but I attached pictures of the standard 755 set up.

One other thing. The gauge wheels are only used to prevent scalping. They are not used to support the deck while in use. The height limit control should do that. When on a level hard surface there should be clearance below the wheels.

It's all there, as long as you have the black bracket on the front of the tractor for the front support of the deck to rotate into. It mounts under the bumper and has two hooks out the front and another hole for the locking pin to go in when you rotate it around. I think it pins on the tractor with a long pin if I remember right.

perfect thanks guys, what do you think of the price?

Looks the same as the 72" version I own. You need the drop down bracket for the front of the tractor that the cam roller bracket slips into. There are a couple of versions of this depending on what tires you have. You could need the real pull levers that ride on the lower 3pt arms. They attach to the roll bar mounts on the rear axke. These have eyelets for pull up rods that attach to the deck. Then you need the 'pork chops' and spacer irons that provide lateral stability to the deck. These attach to the tractor frame. They also come in various sizes depending on your tractor model and tires and whether or not you have loader brackets installed.

well boys i got it all set up and took it out for a test run and I feel that it does not get enough lift i only have a few inches of ground clearance with the deck all the way up?

To install the deck i did this:

lowered the control knob to the lowest position moved rock shaft leaver to lowest position installed pins. Adjusted all areas to ensure max lift. Turned control knob to the highest position and moved rock shaft leaver to highest position and it only goes up a few inches with LOTS of room left to go up??

What did i do wrong?

The deck does not raise very much. How close is it to the rear tires? Mine comes very close, but does not touch. If the deck went any higher it would hit the tires.
