770 vs.755

I like that step. Thought about putting one on the 770.

I put a lot of stress on the steering wheel when I decide to step up. I think the step would give a little relief to the steering column.

That step is handy...
BTW, use the loader mast as a support, rather then the steering wheel. Just make sure you wipe any excess grease off the zerk!!

One other nice thing about the 770 is so many parts are common to the 790/3005 so parts should not be an issue.
I have read (on TBN) that parts availability for the x55 series machines isn't what it used to be. I'm sure TBNers who own these tractors will confirm or dispute that comment since I have no first hand knowledge.

However, $13K for a 770 is a bit high (I believe Canadian and US dollars have close to the same vaue at present). $13K is more then I paid for a very nice 2003 790 about 6 or 7 years ago. Something to consider...

irwin,

Great idea about using the JD790 step on the JD770! I bought the step from John Deere ($60) yesterday and installed it today on my JD770. It really makes a noticable difference in comfort getting on and off the tractor. Thanks.

Bruce

That step looks like a nice addition to your tractor and that 770 looks real sharp too.
