12 PSI would be a little on the light side if you had a loader and it was loaded. Without a loader, 12 PSI should work very well. You will know if you are not correctly inflated by various ways. The obvious is the tire squashes down excessively under a load. If ever you really put the power to the wheels and actually spin the rim inside of the tire, your again underinflated. On the Michelin site (this is with their tires by the way) they give you the PSI based on whether your tractors running duals, the tractors weight for each axle and an important factor, what the maximum speed you would use for any duration. My neighbors 790 with R1's is inflated to about 15 PSI or less on the rears and 20 PSI on the fronts. His gauge only goes to 20 PSI on the lowest range. That brings up another topic, who makes, sells an accurate low pressure gauge? Rat...

Tried 13 rear and 18 front so far so good. Better ride and traction wasn't really tested today.

I bought a John Deere low pressure gauge that goes from 0 to 20 psi. Works great and I think it was only 3 bucks.

I just had to replace a front R-4 on my 4300 with FEL. I was told by the dealer to run them a 22 pounds. I increased it to 25 pounds because the side wall would flex too much with a load in the bucket.

The other day a bulge popped out on the side wall. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif When I had the tire replaced the tire dealer called the supplier and was told the my Track Loader tires should carry at least 35 pounds in the front with a FEL to avoid damage to the tire wall.
