How old is your tractor? If it's compliant with tier 4 it might have a catalytic converter. My 8560 is wet stacking at idle/low RPMs in the colder weather. It runs fine at higher RPMs and in the warmer weather. I don't have any experience working on diesels or fuel systems. I've reached out to my local mahindra dealer and he states that there isn't any bulletin regarding this work and he will not touch a factory setting. He's consulted with the local mahindra rep and is told the same. The machines fuel lines weep and they seem to think this is the root cause. I don't believe this to be the case as it's done this since the first winter before the lines began weeping. Any one deal with a similar problem and can offer advice?
I know Mahindra is bragging about their NON-DPF system but they still run catalytic converters.
Unburned fuel can destroy them.
Like in cars, you don't want to flood a gas engine and pump fuel out the exhaust.
