Im trying to decide if I buy an 8ft blade for the 3pt is gonna be to big if I ever need to rotate the blade 180 Degrees (from pulling with it to pushing with it).
Or is the 7ft the better fit?

The ability to turn the blade 180˚ might be an issue if the boom on the blade is too short and the blade could hit the wheels. If the blade offsets that might give you the room to do it. What size blade you can handle depends on what you are planning to do with it. If just light grading and snow, etc. an 8' might work OK. 7' would be my choice. I had an 8' on a 63 HP tractor and that was plenty of blade and sometimes too much in our hard ground. I now have a 10' on a 108 HP 2WD and its plenty of blade when trying to take a good cut. The important thing is having the blade cover your tire track when angled.

I think an 8' blade will be WAY too much for that tractor for anything but the lightest work. We have a pretty heavy 8' Deere blade that we use on an M9540 and it is plenty for even that tractor. I'd say go for a medium duty 7' unit. Also, most (good) blades are designed so the frame is long enough so you can rotate the blade 180* on any tractor.

Just my :2cents:. But I feel that a good medium duty 96" blade would work great with your tractor. If you can get one that is in the 600-800lb range you would be pretty happy with it I think. As was already mentioned, any good blade is going to have a boom long enough to be able to pivot 360 degrees. I have a 108" blade and it pivots 360 and I believe that even their 10 footer does also. Take a look at these models of Land Pride just to get an idea of what you should be looking for.

Land Pride RB35 Series Rear Blades This blade is close to doing a 360, would need to double check with Land Pride to verify.

Land Pride RBT35 Series Rear Blades This blade would be the one to get if you can swing it. Very good blade.

Other manufacturers have similar blades, this were listed to give you an idea.

Remember, when it comes to new implements, you usually get what you pay for. ;)

My dealer call me friday saying he had the 8ft for $750 (thats all i know for now)

i can get a woodsRBH84 for about $1,200+tax

Then i call the landpride dealer about the same size blade and he wants $1500

Then i found a king kutter in 7ft for $380 I know nothing about this brand

Any input?

Go by the weight, not just the width. Heck, I think that Land Pride has 4 or 5 different 7' wide models. You will be best off with something that weighs 600-800lbs if you are really going to use the thing vs just moving around light weight or loose material.

Look at the specs before you buy!

personally i would go with the 7ft blade.as its more than big enough todo what you want.an you can work with it easier.an you can turn the blade pretty easy.if you had a loader you could pick the blade up an turn it backwards if you want to.

I have a seven ft.Bush-Hog medium duty(rear) blade for My L4240.Used mostly for snow removal, but also do some grading with it.I wouldn't advise you do much "pushing" with a rear blade(tough on the three point).
As advised by others;go by the specs, weight means a lot with a rear blade.
I had one of those lite duty(6ft.) rear blades, kept breaking it.
The seven ft.blade I have now can be rotated all the way, angled and tilted.

Blades are rated to match horsepower. I would be very careful to buy a blade heavy duty enough for your tractor. If you bend it, it is worthless. I like the Landpride that was mentioned. Wish I had one! You also may want to consider adding hydraulics to control the tilt and angle. It adds more costs, but will vastly improve the function if you are expecting grading that requires finesse. Please let us know what you decide and how it works.
