8n 3 point won't lift

So that is why it's not lifting? I'll have to pull the counterweight off with my engine lift. Probably will be this weekend.

Yes you definitely need to complete remove the stay bars ! The stay bars are used to keep the drawbar from swinging or raising or lowering, did the drawbar come with the tractor ? Maybe that’s what the barrel is sitting on ?

That makes sense yes their is a draw bar its home made and welded to the barrel. I'll have to lift the barrel off with my cherry picker this weekend. I feel dumb.

With that much weight and the pump is probably being on the worn side but when I had an 8N it would bend the stabars like pretzels when I would forget and try to use the lift with them on. In fact I did it again last year using my 850. Between myself and my SIL we now just keep an extra set on hand for when the hand works before engaging the brain.

Ford at one time had a chain you were to hang over the lift handle when you had the bars installed as a reminder not to use the lift.

It had a lock out on the handle. I can see the rods wanting to bend they flex like it wanted to lift. Theor is allot of weight on it once this snows gone ill pull the barrel and put my woods mower on that's all it will need to lift and maybe a 3pt two row plow and disc. I want to make a better food plot this year.
