Muhammad,

All I know is that this site consistently has the fastest response time of any site I've ever been to. I have dsl at work, but at home I have dial-up and I don't see much difference. Some sites I just don't bother going back to, just because of the wait times involved.

Thanks for making TBN so user-friendly in lots of ways.

the site was down while we had the RAM upgraded...

I didn't want to say anything until I had a few days to be sure, but...

I'm using probably the least efficient browser/platform combinations, Netscape 4.7/Mac (I have my reasons

), and ever since the switch to the new server, I have experienced "hanging pages" on TBN. The overall performance was noticeably better, but certain pages, the longer ones, would frequently hang without ever rendering the window. I attribute this to the brain-damaged way Netscape essentially establishes a new connection for almost every component on a page, rather than keeping one open until the page is complete.

Now, since the RAM upgrade, I rarely have a page hang, and when I do, it succeeds on the first retry. /w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif

Like I said, I waited several days before jumping to conclusions, but there doesn't seem to be much doubt now. Thanks again for the non-stop improvements, Muhammad!

Muhammad,

I sell DS-1 through OC-48's for AT&T along with dedicated hosting, ATM, VPN etc. I'm curious...who do you use for hosting? And no I'm not going to sic AT&T on you!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Sounds good... hopefully the upgrade has helped already. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Nice!

It certainly would be cost prohibitive to bring all of that in-house. Let alone, setting up BGP between providers.

Good to see the site running on a Redhat server.
