In regards to tire height. Just like with any 4wd vehicle, you have to maintain the same height ratio. In regards to the RTV, they are identical in height. So if you only wanted to buy two for the rear they must be the same height as the existing tires.
I pinch pennies every day. But I never once considered leaving two of those worthless worksite tires on the RTV. All those tires have ever given me is grief.
One more thing. Research the tires you buy very carefully. Biggest issue is finding tires that have the load capacity required. I've not weighed my RTV but would assume that sitting with the bed empty and no operator the rears have a minimum of 450lbs each on them. Now throw in two adult men. You will likely add another 70lbs on each tire. Now we are up to 520lbs and we haven't loaded the bed. Throw on a stacked load of blocked firewood or bed full of loose dirt and we've added another 300lbs to each rear tire. That brings our grand total up to 820lbs!!!!! Read the load capacity ratings on tires very carefully. I load the snot out of my RTV. Last thing I need is a blown out tire.
