Wow, a school bus! More then half of it's life a school bus is empty or sitting idle.

The other "half" being operated by an underpaid driver who uses the accelerator and brake pedals like switches.

If that's "Medium Duty" then my mothers minivan should be considered borderline medium duty. On any given Sunday, it transports at least 6 or 7 kids... :laughing:

They call that the "short bus", the only ones some are familiar with.....

As I said before... "Which MD trucks had the T444E? Besides School buses...?"

Once again, feel free to prove that by showing a few examples of these 26k+ GVWR trucks with the 7.3l diesel. Yes, there are some International 4700 flatbeds with the 7.3l but they are limited to around 25,500lb GVWR.

As the owner of a 99 F250 7.3 6 speed truck I will gladly admit that the Cummins is a better engine. Having said that, the 7.3 is a great engine and the overall package in the Ford is better (IMO).

If you go to most any diesel pickup forum, the preferred automatic truck by many would be a Ford with a Cummmins and Allison tranny.

For the OP, regarding the 7.3 Ford trucks- tranny issues are usually from overheating. They are also notorious for ball joints and the caliper slides frequently becoming stuck resulting in premature pad wear.
