A Big Kubota Hello

Just purchased my first Kubota B3200HSD that came with a belly mower, rotary cutter and front end loader.

So far I'm very happy with it. Looking forward to reading the forums and finding out how others have customized their B3200 to make it work better for them.

Here's a trick I learned right away for those of you having trouble getting your quick disconnect hydraulic fittings on and off. All but one of mine came off with a snap, but when I went to put them back on two of them would not connect together and I almost went and bought two new female fittings.

Instead, I used a towel and some WD40 (wrapped around the fitting to catch any excess WD40). First I flushed the outer area of any debris, you can use other brands of lubricant just don't use the foaming kind, then I sprayed a good amount into the female coupler to flush any debris out and then doused the male fitting it slides onto. Once I did that all four of the female couplers snapped quickly back onto the male couplers without any trouble. WD40 and Kubota, lovem'!.

Welcome! Did you ensure sll pressure was relieved before disconnecting them? If one side has pressure on it, even a little, they will be hard to connect.

When I took the first connection apart it came apart very easily. So I assumed the pressure was off of them. That may have been the issue. I am not sure exactly how to release the pressure. Any tips on how to do that before I disconnect them next time would be greatly appreciated.

On the hydraulic pressure, after the loader is unhooked from the tractor, (but hyd. lines still attached), turn off the tractor, then move the loader control in all four directions a couple times. This should release all pressure and make the couplers easy to remove.

Another tip, unhook the loader when it is warm (either from use, outside temp, sun, etc) and try to hook it up when it is cooler out. This will make everything much easier to hook up as the hydraulic fluid won't have built up pressure. I learned real quick about unhooking the loader and leaving it out in the sun. Came out middle of the afternoon to hook it up and had a bear of a time getting the couplers to mate up. The sun had heated up the hyd. hoses making the fluid expand and therefore building up pressure.

If you do have to hook it up in a situation like that, take a small bolt, dowel rod, etc and use it to push in on the poppet inside the coupler (the female/loader side). You might even have to take said dowel rod and hit it with a hammer or bang it down on something. Also, be sure to wrap the whole assembly with a rag when doing this as oil will squirt out.

Had a B3200 and it was a great machine. I to had the reconnect problem. I'd released the pressure in the cool morning and couldn't reconnect 2 of the lines in the later warmer evening. Started hating that tractor. Tried the whacking the detent point in the hose but couldn't get it to release pressure. Got an open end wrench of the proper size for one of the hyd hose connectors, slightly turned fitting till it released the pressure and fluid started running out, retightened and connectors clicked right in place. If they don't connect easy then there's pressure build up, do something to release the pressure.
