I've had a interest in IH-Farmall most of my life an this was the
first I've heard of IH paying royalties to A.C.
Guess you never get to old to learn something new...

Now I feel really bad as I have that book an several others but never picked
up on the patent infringement...
Think it's was my prejudice that blinded me, I have a hard time accepting that
I.H. copied anything from A.C. but it is true...
Think I'll go back an reread the books...

Looks at pics of an A-C "B" and a Farmall "A" side by side, except for the A's offset, the overall design of the tractor is an exact copy. From the shape of the fuel tank to the placement of the air cleaner, carb, starter, etc. And the "B" predates the "A: by a few years... in my opinion though, the Farmalls are FAR better looking..... some of the best looking machines ever built. The B is kind of homely...

The letter series Farmall are very classy looking!
The First "A", sn 501, came out in June of '39. The "B" Farmall, sn3675, came out in September of '39.
The AC-B came out in '37 or '38, ???

Looks like they made about 100 A-C Bs in 1937, with full production beginning in '38. The 37's had engines built by Waukesha, the later models had A-C engines.
