Hey guys I need a little help. I drove my 2565 about 5 miles to a friend's house. We worked her hard, but it is nice being in the cab with a/c. On the way back to the house, the a/c just quit. No fan, & no compressor, nothing.
Everything else works fine however!

I have checked the small fuses under the steering wheel, the block under the hood(holds 6-10 fuses) the large fuses mounted to the front wall that has the huge fuses as well as the "circuit breakers there) I have to admit, I'm stumped! Is there an inline fuse hidden somewhere that I have missed? I really appreciate all of th help I have received & hope someday to be a guru & be able to help others as I have been helped on this forum!

Thanks for any help!!!

Most likely you broke a wire bringing power to the AC compressor or broke your fan belt that connects to the AC. Check both. In my case, it turned out to be both. The broken wire caused by mice, who chewed it throughly, and also a broken fan belt due to normal wear. Either one of which can result in no AC cooling.

Odd part is that the circulating fan and compressor quit at the same time. If I was checking wires I would start at climate control head where blower and ac switch are located. Something common caused both to stop getting voltage?

Went back out today & worked with it as much as I could stand. Talk about miserable...90°& no a/s or even the fan, I couldnt stand to work but for 10-15 minutes befor I had to get out & cool off some! Now the glow plug light is coming on randomly. I will order the service manual later today. I kno everyone says they are no good, but maybe if nothing else maybe it will have a wiring diagram. I do believe it is a broken wire, so I will be tracing each one of them. I really hate doin electrical work on any vehicke because I suck at it, but I'll do my best. It will have to wait until the weekend because I am working 12 hour shifts & there is not enough hours in the day to do all that needs to be done around the house. I appreciate everyone's input & I'm still open to suggestions so feel free to add any!

Yes it is terrible to be mowing with a cab tractor at 90F and no AC. I mowed with the cab doors open when my AC broke down. Purchase the service manual, but you don't need it right now to check the really obvious stuff first. Visually look for broken wires, broken fan belt, loose fan belt, etc, etc.

If your blower is off, I'd check fuses. If it's busted belt, or a break in the wire to the AC compressor clutch, that wouldn't prevent the blower fan from coming on. Of course, it's been several weeks since you posted this, so I'm assuming you've got it resolved. If so, what was the ultimate problem/resolution?

Most cab tractors ive worked with have a separate fuse assembly as part of the cab itself. Mine is on the left side rear. I would asdume your cab would need additional fuses that a non cab unit, so would also have an additional fusebox.
