Rox, in this part of Texas if you took off work when it is hot you would only work about 4 months of the year.
Seriously, when you start early in the morning you just get used to the heat. Precautions should be taken, but you have to work. The worst thing a man can do is eat lunch inside in the AC. Stay outside, in the shade, and eat. Drink plenty of water, but not too much (my Dad loves to tell the story about when I drank a lot of good cold water while cutting wood in June. I was sick as a dog for a couple of hours. I don't drink too much water at one time any more
That said, Harv would probably have rather worked on this project in January, but the work comes when it comes.
