I was reading about the rops rattle and I have a diff. rattle I would really like to get rid of, the rattle is in my L fender, and its loud! The rattle is at about from 1000-1500RPM ,has anyone else experienced this fender rattle and what have you done about it? My pops just found me a Landpride RB 15 60in. rear blade for 150 bucks (way to come through dad!) and the blade is close to new. Can I just buy a rake and mount it to the 3pt hardware from the blade? One more question, when I bought my L3000 I did'nt ever realize that I could mow my lawn with it, and I must say that I am intrigued by that, and the thought of 5ft. swipes at a time can rearange my landscaping plans. I guess what I am asking is , is this real? can that seemingly huge machine do my lawn without squishing the worms out of it? Does anyone do it with bar tires on it? What about the mower? Sorry about all these , and not in all the right catagory but, it takes me so long to post I save and hit you all at once./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

I don't know exactly how big the L3000 is, but it is probably similar to my smaller tractor (a 27HP Yanmar with turf tires and a 5 foot belly mower)...it treads verrry lighly and cuts golf-course like quality on my lawn...which is to say, very nice job. If you have ag tires I wouldn't recommend mowing with it...

If you wish not to have the grader blade fold up yes indeed you can.
If you wish to have the grader blade fold up you still can.
If you plan on fabricate it yourself one thing you could do,visit a dealer which sells a rake grader blade combo and see first hand how they did it for and idea.

Where I work the grounds department has number of tractors and one Kubota L3710 w/mid mower and it does a nice clean job,but they run truf tires all the way around so they won't tear up the lawns.

Sounds like your father has a good eye for equipment. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

putty-

I noticed a little rattle in my fender as well on my L3000. I figure its the position control lever vibrating at the right RPM. I take care of it the lazy way, change RPM when it starts to vibrate.

As for mowing, I fully intend to mow 2 acres of grass w/mine. I bought a Woods 72" 3 point rear discharge mower(a slight case of overkill maybe), but I have turf tires.

Good luck.

I mow my yard with an L2350 with a 6ft 3pt woods finishing mower. Does a great job, run the rpm's close to 2000. No fender rattles. Has ag tires, mows about 4 acres with no problems with tearing the yard up. But then I don't do donuts with it.

The LandPride 15 series rear blades and 15 series rakes use the same hardware and you can change between the blade and the rake by removing one nut. The bad news /w3tcompact/icons/mad.gif -- I asked my dealer the same question and was told that he would have to special order just the blade or rake part and that shipping would make it cost about as much as getting the whole unit that he has in stock.

That's kinda typical. The dealer gets a price break for quantity; if he buys 5 rakes, the price is much lower. If he special orders a onesy piece, the price is more
