A grapple for fabrication challenged folks like me

( I just got married a month ago, so I've been a little "distracted" lately. )

And you got a “little” distracted?

I did see your grapple project. That looks like a killer of a rock bucket. If you have to deal with a lot of rocks that will save a lot of time and backs.

I also used ¼” lines to the grapple and found the speed to be just right. Very good control. It is amazing how easy some thing become with the right equipment. And as you say, seconds to take it off.

I also like your driveway workshop. It looks a lot like mine. A really good driveway workshop is a work of art only to dreamed of by those who don’t have one.

I thought about rebuilding the whole thing from scratch using 2X2X1/4 tubing when it would not close all the way. At that point I knew I had way over built it but then decided that the cost would be to high and the time needed would be to great so I when with what I had. But I agree that the best would be the 2,5 X 2.5 X 3/16. That would be ideal for B7800's project on his LA402.

I gotta git me a bucket grapple! My front hydraulics are finally good-to-go and I have all kinds of stuff to move.

Might there be a time we can arrange where I could stop by your place to have a look? I'm in Rutland and would love to see one inperson and watch it work a bit.
