A little disappointed with Kubota

My rears are 192 lbs. (L39). With a hardened heavy washer. Fronts are 100 with taper nuts. That kinda torque should keep them from moving. Buy heavy washers from Fastenal and try again. IMG_20190220_163637940.jpeg

If it failed it was assembled/designed wrong. No exceptions. Never mind that OP could have had a wheel center thant had micro-cracks in it or whatever. It's never wear, fluke circumstance, or impossible to find QC issues, there must always be fault laid at someone's feet. Otherwise how can someone on the internet be right?

Yeah, verily... in the very unlikely chance that we have not beaten this dead horse 6 or 7 times in the first 180 some posts ... the most likely culprit (with due respect) is the owner who, like me many times, failed to check for tightness after 50 hrs usage or whatever amount. Chances are better than 50/50 he just let it run loose without knowing it for a lot of hours. And unless I missed 1 or 2 of these 180+ posts the only damage was some elongated holes in the disks ?? Crap. We wasted more manpower talking about it than the holes were worth. He can probably put on some large washers, tighten them down and forget the whole thing.

How did you determine that? I'm curious, it seems like that is still a point of contention as to what went wrong, specifically, and how? NOT being snarky, just trying to understand how we can conclude anything as fact...:confused3:

I'm just playin with ya.

With that said. Regardless of hardware used. Regardless of torque applied. The wheels moved. Since a gazillion Kubotas have been assembled using the same hardware with no problems. It can only be assembly error. Would you agree? If not, what happened? :)

Kubota has clearly demonstrated that there are at least two 'right' ways to attach wheels; with split washers or with flat washers.

Of course belleville washers can be considered and they will reduce rattling or other sound until lug holes are well-worn. There can also be a 4th right/wrong (depending) exhibited by using 'washer-less' installation.

I called the nearby Kubota dealer to ask about using genuine Kubota bolts on either CUT or my Terramite. Imagine my disappointment to learn that there had been a recent run on both split and flat washer wheel bolts! It seems they are back-ordered until after some kind of contest or competition, probably a "torque-off". By coincidence it's to be 2/30/19 at exactly 2:30.

Hey, let's choose up sides and get torqued-off to celebrate! :D :drink:

At exactly 2:30 AM space Aliens, no wait, that's not PC. space travelers arrived at the wheels in question and probed and probed some more. Then one alien, probably from the Caravan, decided to slow our progress and messed with the torque on the wheels.

Problem solved, case closed, now onto other things, anything one chooses....

This case isn't closed. You haven't offered a solution.
