A little fun

After I got through bush hogging this part, I jumped on the Kubota and did some backhoe work. Dug up about 20 or so stumps and a few live trees. When it cools off late this afternoon, I'll fire up the Kioti and pick these up to add to the pile. As you can see in the background, plenty of work left to do - or should I say fun! About 4.5 acres in the back part I want to clear.

Nice work. Are both tractors cab'ed? With A/C ?

No only the Kioti and it's being a PITA with overheating! The Kubota is a L35 that's just a super little unit. I can't figure out why the Kioit keeps overheating. I just flushed and refilled the coolant, oil is good, belts are good - only 50 hours on machine. I'm thinking maybe something with hydro.

I have a 2006 DK45SC gear and the only time I've ever had overheating is with prolonged mowing AND a thick accumulation of chaff (mostly dandelion/salsify fluff!) on the radiator screens. I don't know how much HST would contribute to overheating; I'd guess using the AC would put more load on, too (it is seldom hot enough for me to need the AC here, I'm sorry to say).

It was 97 today. I cleaned the screens, and radiator with air and water, blew out the dust from the air filter, checked all the fluids and had another go at it. Did about 2 hrs and then it started heating again so I brought it in and cleaned the screens, rad again. I think it's just too hot.
