Looking for a little help from the pack. I am having a fuel delivery problem with my CK30, I think. Was moving snow a couple of days ago, for about an hour. A friend stopped by, so I shut 'er down for a few minutes, then the wife showed and so had to move the beast out of the driveway. Moved about twenty feet pushing with the rear blade and it just stopped. No joy on the restart. No smoke, no go. Fuel in the filter assembly looked good, clear. Popped of the lines, good fuel. Finally messed with the lever on the top, front of the injector unit, which I believe is the manual fuel cut off? Got it to run briefly twice, but would die quickly, especially if I tried to give it a little more juice. Third time it ran it accerated right up to the stops and I had to manually kill it with the lever(fuel cut off).
I let it sit for awhile then went back to try again. Got it to start after many cranks but could only move it about twenty feet at idle speed. As soon as I gave it a tiny bit of throttle, it died again without restarting. I called a nearby dealer(this is a Saturday) and talked to a knowledgeable guy, but not their senior tech. He suggested jelled fuel or ice from water contamination. I do use Power Service in the white bottle for anti-jelling and keep it plugged in with a block heater. Fuel in the filter and in the lines looked good. Tried bleeding air half a dozen times. I finally covered it with a tarp and put a small space heater on the injector side of the engine. Three hours later I got it running one more time, but wanted to die if any amount of throttle was given. Crept it into the garage at idle and put 'er to bed for the night in a heated environment.
This morning go try again, she's been inside in 55-60* environment all night and block heater on, it starts immediately but races to the stops again. I shut it done as soon as I could and let it sit. Did not have an oppurtunity to call dealer today, but will do so tomorrow.
So what do you all think here? Do I have ice somewhere in the injector unit? The electric solenoid fuel cut off does click nicely when key is turned, so that appears to function. Sorry to be long winded, just trying to give as much info as possible. Any other areas I should look at?
