If you have some flat concrete, raise your forks about 16 inches off the ground and then tilt them forward so the tips just lightly touch the ground. They will slide side to side a lot easier.

Sorry Mate, you misunderstood. I was talking about mounting the two individual pallet fork tynes, not sliding them back & forth. My bale spike 'option' is a single unit (also heavy) that slides into the same frame, replacing the fork tynes. :)

(Later edit) I've re-read your post and realised that you didn't misunderstand, you were addressing a situation within my post. Thank you for the above suggestion, I'll give it a go the next time I have the fork tynes mounted.

that guy probably wasn't thiking to well that day. i though that was elementary physics

Noodles, as much as I like you, I've got to say....why don't we start with grammar and spelling, then progress to teaching others about physics. Then finally, work on the art of intelligent conversation.

LOL. I never considered the idea of being able to see the end of the forks...hmm. Good tip.

The Horst Welding forks work well for my 200CX plus they will paint them JD green for you. They are very well built and I have found that they stay on the loader more than the bucket. Horst Welding | Family of Companies I even saved on freight when the delivery dealer waited to include the forks with a regular shipment.

Hiya,

I had a set of Host light duty for my 2520, when I sold it I sold the forks too as they are only rated for 1200 Lbs and the 300cx has a higher capacity than that. I went with the Deere forks over the Artilian's as they hadn't designed the back stop for them yet and I needed them day 1 with the 3320. Deere forks do what forks should however lining them up is more difficult than the Horst as the Horst's have additional plates to line up the top part of the JD connector.
