Hello All,Well I think I'm about to buy a DK35 although the price isn't anything to brag about.I've got 3 dealers all about 45 min.s to an hour away from me.So far the best I could do is 18400 with a Woods FEL with 66" quick detach bucket and 6' box scraper with Ind. tires.I live in Western MA. so shipping would kill me on most online dealers. And also I have to consider having to get it serviced. Is anyone familer with the Woods loader? Is it better or just as good as the Kioti 1450 loader?

Thanks Rick

I can't help you much on this one !
I'm not to familiar with the Woods loader as compared the the 1450 Kioti.

Look at the Woods and compare strength and volume. I got the Kioti and modified the bucket[$300] to carry more bales of hay, brush etc. It was a pretty weak bucket. No backbone along the top back edge for stiffness, and a skimpy cutting edge. bcs

I purchased my DK with the 1450 loader with the Bobcat style quick attach and heavy duty bucket.
The bucket is much heavier than the standard bucket.
It was a $500 option.

I took the jump and paid for my DK35 yesterday. The Branson 4020 was a close competitor, but finally decided on the Kioti.

The dealer, Dennard's, has been a farm/ranch store in Whitesboro (north, north central TX) for over 50 years, and they also sell and service various equip such as Husky, Stihl etc. At $16,800 for a DK35, KL1450, R4s and 5' Int'l Bush Hog with slip clutch, I feel like I got a very good deal (oh, and that price did include several hundred $$ cash rebates in lieu of the 0% financing deal)

I'll be getting my new toy next Saturday at the latest...
I can hardly wait!

Billy,

I drove a DK35 around the dealer's lot in Temple last weekend. That is a very nice machine! One thing I noticed was the 2wd/4wd lever was just about impossible to move. He said there's a fix for that, and he was sending this particular unit back to Mexia distribution center for a retrofit.

He was also trying to talk me out of my L345. He used to be a Kubota dealer in the 70's and 80's, and said he still services some that he sold back then. Of course, he wants it as a trade in - and don't think I wasn't tempted. His price on the DK35 was about what you're paying, but there was no brush hog in his deal.

Someone in another thread, who was also waiting on their first tractor, said they were "brush hogging in their dreams". /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well it's to bad that up here in the the Norh East that we have to pay more(mostly extra freight cost).I looked at the DK35 yesterday wih the Woods 1009 FEL.I compared the specs with the Kioti 1450 and even though the dealer says it's a beefier loader, the Kioti loader seems to have higher specs. At this point it is the best deal from the 3 local dealers.I noticed it had the remote hyd. set up also.At this point it looks like 18400 with R4's and 66" quick attach bucket, remote hyd.,Woods 6' box scraper and brush guard is the best I can do around here. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Congratulations, Billy. And for a purely personal opinion, I think you were smart to go with the Kioti instead of the Branson.

Is see you said you thought Billy was smarter to go with the DK35 over the Branson. I do not want to upset you but may I ask why? I am very familar with Century (very similar to the Branson) They are both nice units and the 3035 Century seems to be a very close match. In fact in many ways it out specs it. The Branson mentioned above is the same except it is 40 hp. I think you will find the 3035 will also cost less.
