about to change hydraulic filter . . . what's in my bx?

My local dealer says Kubota only allows UDT for refill after warranty work. In fact they don't even carry SUDT. I believe they are advertised as being fully compatible to mix. Since you leave several quarts in the system when you change the fluid, and in attachments (FEL etc) they almost have to be compatible. That being said my BX 1860 whines loudly on UDT, and I intend to try SUDT at my first change.

Every Kubota that I have seen except for the Larger M series, come in metal shipping crates/skids. Some of the L series also do not have the left hub on so as to fit inside the crate, so they do not have fluid in the front axle either. Not sure about the main gearbox though it may be filled.

My manual calls for SUDT, so that is what I put in it. Then I steer clear of all the UDT vs. SUDT vs. other brand debates.

I ran into that problem the last time i was to my local dealer .
Never was a problem there from 2004 -2009.
