Okay, I have given up on burying a container. I will use block and build it right. Meanwhile, I want to put some shelves inside my "above ground" container. Anyone know of a good way to secure some 2 X 4's to these loops that are at the top and bottom.

I would think simple and economical would be to use something like this.

Try using metal strapping. You can cut to the length you need and just use wood screws to secure.

In my containers I use self standing nsf shelving. For fastening 2x4s, I would use construction adhesive and a few self tapping screws per 2x4 from the backside, thats my plan for backer boards for the siding that Im planning.
