Abuse by John Deere Credit

This had nothing to do with how your were dressed. Salesman deal with credit EVERY DAY and it is true that a small percentage of people qualify for the best rate. The odds were in his favor by saying this. I don't take that line personal because I know that I am in the minority when it comes to credit. I always enjoy when the guy goes to run the credit check and then comes back to compliment me on my excellent rating.

A few years back when I still financed my automobiles, the guy said, "I'm going to run a credit check on you, so why don't you guys go out to eat and come back and we should have an answer." We said, "fine", and as we were getting into our car, the sales guy came running out and said, "You've already been approved!" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

When I bought my last motorhome, after visiting with the salesman, and discussing price, etc., I told him I wanted to drive it, so we went for a ride, and when I started back, we agreed upon a price, except I told him he'd have to swap out the manual mirrors for power mirrors, install a CB/weather radio, swap one roof vent for a particular power vent, and add some valve extensions on the duals on the rear. When I turned into their lot to park it where we started from, he told me to just drive on around to the service bays. Then he got out and started telling the service writer what all to do to it, and I said, "Whoa, you know this is contingent on getting approved for financing for the amount and at the rate we discussed, and now that I'm retired, my income is considerably less than the last time I financed anything." He said, "Oh, I've already run your credit rating and they're gonna give you whatever you want." /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I am not sure what the deal with Greenacre's dealer was. The dealer will work to get you the financing you want so they can make their sale. They can buy the percentage rate down. I'm no millionaire, I didn't go to the dealer in my BMW, it was my 96 Ford pickup and I got 0%.

When I got a final quote on my 4110, I told the salesman I'd call back on Monday to say if I wanted it or not. I called back and he ordered the loader and the BH. He mailed me the app for financing (3yr 0%) which I filled out and mailed back. I asked him if he needed a check or anything, he said no, he wasn't worried about it.

He's just assuming that the credit will come through just fine (which it will), but realistically, even if it didn't he might think he would be stuck with a John Deere tractor with a JD loader and a JD backhoe. It's not really that much risk, when you think about it. He is a JD dealer after all.

I think you nailed that one. You would think he would come back online and give an update as to how it is going. He must not have liked the opinion from many that he was responsible. )</font>

I called AgriCredit on 4-21-004 and had the automatic withdrawal paperwork faxed over. Filled it out and mailed it on 4-23-004 (must be mailed in).

I called AC today (5-03-004) and Cory, whom I spoke with, said that I was all set for my 6-01-004 auto-debit.

If by chance there was a problem, I would still have 3 weeks+ to resolve it and/or get payment there by the 1st.
I can now sleep easy.
