Costco has some great deals sometimes too...
Have you done a search for and installed latest system drivers, and then run latest Windows updates? What two drivers were missing?
And back up that HDD... before you have a system crash
Is this a 64bit or 32bit install (see here: How to determine whether a computer is running a 32-bit version or 64-bit version of the Windows operating system for how to tell the difference)?

If u stated which Windows OS u r using, I missed it (more than twice...but, then, I'm tired). As I bet u already know, Microsoft does not provide updates for older versions of windows. There was a snafu a few years ago, so they extended their update operation for XP... But (I could be wrong), I don't think they r updating XP or older, currently. So, those OS systems are sitting ducks...if I'm right.
Am I right???
Actually, Vista home is available as a 64 or 32 bit. See Download - Microsoft Windows Vista SP1 Official ISO's Downloads | Fix It WizKid - Free computer support forum and chat. for a place to download the parts needed to burn a install DVD. Alternatively, you can buy a DVD on ebay for about $20.home, thus 32
XP will be supported (for security fixes) until April 2014 as shown at: Microsoft Product Lifecycle Search. If u stated which Windows OS u r using, I missed it (more than twice...but, then, I'm tired). If you were closer, I have one somewhere that I could dig up and lend you.

Vista will (currently) be supported until April 2017 OR 24 months after the last service pack (whichever comes first) per: Microsoft Product Lifecycle Search
