A similar thing happened to me before with sLowes. I'm looking for a charcoal canister for my Ford truck. I see aftermarket ones on scAmazon for just over 100$. Prices are all over the place with various sites. The OEM part is as high as $300+ So I do a DDG search and the Motorcrap part shows up on Home Cheapo website. GTFOH. Best price and not much more than the aftermarket Dorman product on scAmazon. Free shipping and my vets discount essentially erased the taxes and even put 3 dollars in my wallet.

If we want to expand to other online vendors; Parts Geek; got the wrong wheel bearings, and I double checked, ordered the right SKU, but they didn't send the SKU I ordered; I did get a refund, but they probably could have denied it cause it was more than 30 days later, and I didn't find out until the Durango was on blocks, and the wheel hub assembly removed. Also got some suspension parts for son's truck, and one of the ball joints was missing the grease zerk, and the hole for the zerk had no threads.

Vevor, I mostly like, BUT, you will see 17 almost identical sales, but at totally different prices. You really have to review pictures and every word to see what you are getting, and although it hasn't happened to me, you may not get the exact item you ordered; say a 7x14 metal lathe; there are like 13 of them posted, from $389 to $750.

Temu, I have an order in now for some light weight, water proof camo, and we will see. Seemed like a good deal at $24 for pants and jacket. I have eye balled some of their stuff, such as a Digitial NV scope, for $299, that even has the same logo as a Sightmark Wraith. I think they are factory over runs? I do seem several Vortex scopes, including the Venom and Crossfires, and they aren't advertised as Vortex, but they have the logo, and are either copies, counterfeits, overruns, or rejects?

Walmart.com, the orders have been fine; BUT the website/app is trash. If you Google the item, you can find it on Walmart, but if you search it on Walmart directly, it won't be there.

No. I was buying something awhile back that Lowes doesn't carry but they had it online at a very good price. Tractor fluid.

I was searching on Duck Duck go for this part by number. A first or second page hit was HD. It's like many of these big retailers dip their toe into other stuff probably to compete with amazon.

Someone posted on Nextdoor (local gossip newletter) that a white van was following the Amazon truck and scooping up the parcels off porches.

Amazon driver said he told the van guy to get lost but was ignored.

Maybe should throw this in the chainsaw thread but Amazon has the Husqvarna 450 Rancher with 20” bar on sale for $384 bucks right now. It’s about 100 bucks off the regular price. Seems like a great deal if you like their saws.

Amazon drivers are timed, and tracked in many ways.
When I am out front, they will take the package to my door, take a picture rather than hand it to me right there due to strict rules.

If he called 911 could he be fired?
Can he call dispatch and tell them without missing his next deadline?

Honestly, why would he call the LEOs? It's none of his business, he made his delivery. If he did call LEO, 1 if 2 things is gonna happen. 1) they don't do anything, and he wastes 15 minutes of his time for nothing. 2) they do send someone, they question him, possibly ask for a statement, waste atleast 2 hours of his time, again for nothing.

I thought he saw a suspected crime occurring. I've always felt obligated to report crimes to Law Enforcement as a law abiding citizen. If my neighbor sees somebody breaking windows out of my barn and he does nothing, I would not be happy.

Is it safe to assume that those pictures are immediately transmitted back to the dispatch center? Maybe take a photo of the suspect vehicle making sure to get a good shot of the license plate?

If I were a customer who'd been victim of a porch pirate and discovered the delivery driver saw the suspected perp and didn't do anything I'd be p/o'ed to say the least.

Why do you capitalize the words “law enforcement”? Just curious

I understand that, but if you have ever reported a crime, that didn't really involve you, I think you will learn the lesson.

I have reported several over the years. Last one, pull into vacant lot to eat lunch, and pee; see a chopped up, new, Honda motorcycle hidden behind a bush. Call LEOs, they ask like 20 questions, and tell me to wait until their officer arrives. I waited an hour, and just left. I didn't "witness" anything, and it wasted a significant amount of my work day. If I had waited on the officer, it couple have been several more hours waiting, and then the whole "why where you here" "how did you know to look where it was hidden" and all that BS.

Anymore, I don't report anything that isn't an active hazard. Last two calls have been cows out on roadway (not my neighborhood, just driving at work).
