Rear remote kit is easy to install. Little harder for a cabbed unit. Definitely the way to go if you can afford it. Biggest complaint I hear with using the FEL hydraulics is the loss of power due to the FEL valve and its relief valve.Looking to get a 9" hydraulic auger, only problem is my 4540 didnt come with a 3rd function or rear remotes. I talked to the guys over at EA and he said I should go with rear remotes. The WR Long kit they sell is not designed for auger use.
What are my options here? If I buy the kit (dealer wants $1300) - is it fairly easy to install? anyone have any pictures, etc?
