If I can't get a detent 'kit' for the valve I already have, I'll probably end up buying another spool for this valve, with a detent kit already in it, most likely replacing one of the standard valves, but possibly just adding a 5th if I can think of a reason I may need it
I went through the parts I'll need for the valve. So far, I've found all the parts I need (I think
) to go from the work ports of the 4 spools, to the QD rear remotes, which will be mounted to a crossbar between my ROPS.
Since it was recommended to use JIC fittings whenever possible, I used that type as much as I could. I couldn't find a 90 degree bulkhead fitting, with a male JIC fitting to a NPT Male, so I bought 8 adapters instead (the reason is because it seems that the QD fittings I was able to find, were all NPTF thread, and not JIC type)
This is what I have so far:
HOSES AND FITTINGS TO GO FROM VALVE WORK PORTS TO REMOTES FOR REAR REMOTE QUICK DISCONNECTS:
(4) JIC #8 to SAE #8 long 90 fittings to come out of valve (forward ports) to 30" hose https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?item=9-6801-L-8-8&catname=hydraulic
(4) JIC #8 to SAE #8 short 90 fittings to come out of valve (back ports) to 30" hose https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?item=9-6801-8-8&catname=hydraulic
(8) 1/2" X 30" hoses for work ports to rear remote crossbar https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?catname=hydraulic&item=940-2230
(8) JIC #8 to JIC #8 90 bulkhead fittings to go from 30" hose through crossbar SAE 37ー Flare (JIC) Bulkhead Tube Union 90ー Elbow
(8) JIC #8 female to 1/2" NPT male to go from bulkhead fitting to Quick Disconnects https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?item=9-6505-8-8&catname=hydraulic
(8) sets Quick Disconnect fittings ISO 5675 Agricultural Hydraulic Quick Disconnects
I'm still working on the 3 hoses and associated fittings that I'll need for the IN, OUT, and PB of the valve itself.
