I put the 3rd valve on my 4300 last year relitive easy if you have 4 hours and a brother in law who use to be a John Deere on the road mechanic. When I was looking for the part other dealers could not find it butmy regular dealer, ( Shaws Ridge in Dover NH ) found it he said that John Deere changed the part number. If I remember the right the numbers were the same but they added letters to the beginning, I think Q might have been one.

Hydraulic kit numbers for the 4200 - 4400 series of tractors are:

Power Beyond: LVU12709 (I need to verify this number)
Single spool kit: LVBM19535
Third spool kit: LVBM19694
4th & 5th spool kit: LVBM19535

The single spool kit is only useful if you do not have a loader and do not have the 1st and 2nd spool kit already installed to power the loader.

The Power Beyond and third spool kits should still be available. The 4th and 5th are not, and you might find one left at Finch Services of Westminster, Maryland. That is where my 4th & 5th kit came from. You will need the Power Beyond kit to make the 4th & 5th work.

Yes< i had that trouble,Even the dealer said there was some sort of 'situation'' that would not allow me to use the curl hoses to run the SA cylinders. Of cource I didn't believe them, and proceeded to try, and failed.
I'm not sure if all tractors are set up with the 'regen' way but if it is then that option is out.

I thought we had someone on here that tried that and I believe his 'regen' function played all heck with the SA cylinders.

What option is out? The regen can be disabled on all the JD machines at least...What machine do you have?

There is a company in Sedalia Missouri that makes grapplers and other implements for compact tractors.. One of the things they make is a sharing device for a 3rd control.. it is called xtra valve you can find it at this web address if your interested.

i don't remember what i paid, but $255 sounds cheap! i swapped out the joystick on my tc40da for one w/ 4 buttons.. 2 buttons for open/close on my grapple and 2 for my turtle/rabbit function.. my kit had the joystick, hoses/couplings, diverter valve, and electric solenoid valve.. not hard to install, but the little plate for the fittings on the front was my first welding job! ... now if i can get a GRINDER in there!

My JD dealer sells Fasse valve setups, so that is what I put on mine to run my snow blade and grapple. It has worked great for the past 3-4 years.

Here are some pics of my setup. The ATI bucket grapple was sold so I coudl buy the Millonzi grapple. Best choice I could have made.

I dont remember the price, but it was kinda pricey. But considering I didnt have to make mulitple trips trying to find different adapters, and it all fit together quite well, I'm ok with what it cost. Plus, if there are problems with it, I can get support from my dealer.
