@smokeydog the cool thing is you have bigger and smaller, ultimate versatility. Also, with the right knowledge piecing together stuff is great. I found one L48 BT1100 backhoe in the US for $4500 pre-negotiation. I am not sure exactly of the matching, like can you actually put a BT1000 on an L48 for example? Only experience can answer stuff like that, and I am a bit short on that right now :)/

My local HD seems to have smaller BHs, I will look again. But, with only one piece, I was hoping to fill a niche.

@peter315 if its like anything construction related, prices went up. Demand is high, inventory is low, covid, non-covid. Like I said, Idid not get a chance to negotiate a bit, but I imagine I would be looking at only a few $K of room.

Did you get both boom lock pins with your L48?

I got at least one for the swing, for the boom lock I was looking for a latch mechanism, which was clearly not the case. There may be a pin for the boom-up lock. The Machine is in GA right now so not close.

Apparently the linville 27" will work. There is a mounting video on youtube from fire mountain. $235 shipped.

The reason I asked is that your 2006 (I have the 2006 also) did not come from the factory with the latch mechanism that we see on later model Kubotas.
It came with a simple straight solid pin, that is inserted across/through holes in the boom itself.
That pin is normally stored by dropping it through a hole sized for it, in the right side of the hoe floor foot rest area.
The pin has a flat bar across one end of it, like a "T" handle.
It could have easily been lost or misplaced.

Unless you really want to retrofit the latch style mechanism, I would just suggest buying a piece of smooth round bar stock (metric?), and welding a short piece of flat stock across one end.
I would send you a picture, if I knew how to send pictures on TBN.

I have never used either of my boom lock pins.

Got it, thanks. I plan on doing quite a bit of transport over time so I will get this sorted. I did buy a 22' trailer so I can bind the tractor, FEL bucket, and the BH bucket.

A little late to the discussion. I have a 2007 B26TLB with a hydraulic thumb. I assume from the factory as it was on the tractor when I bought it 3 years ago.

First picture shows the locking pin for rotation and the lever/bar system for the boom.

The second and third pictures show the thumb and its hoses and the foot lever that controls the thumb.

Hopefully this is helps for the L47. Jon
