That is exactly correct although on my Branson the remote valves are not that great and leak internally enough I would not have to do that but I do just to make sure it floats freely.OK, I think I can understand that. It looks like the guy using the solenoid setup on the Branson tractor, does not use a line going back to the tank (it looks like he simply ties the lines together), that must be why he specifies he puts it all the way up, hits the switch and lets it collapse back down.
Am I understanding this properly?
I do not have a parts list for what I did but basically it is just a couple of tees, hoses and the solenoids. It is just a on/off hydraulic solenoid I bought from my local hydraulic shop.
You just have to remember to flip the switch off to raise the boom.
